See my
family and how I started MFB
Why My Father's Beads?
|
People often
ask how the shop got its name. My father, Ciro "Jerry" Bellini,
passed away several years ago and left me some money. I saved this
money, hoping to one day start my own business. He owned a
manufacturing business that I would work at occasionally when I was
young. We sometimes used beads and rhinestones which I still have
and display at the shop. Hence--

Here's Mom
in the old MFB shop... look at all those beads!
Until
recently, mom did most of the vialing. Thousands and thousands of
beads, one vial at a time until she built up a nice callous on her
finger... What a woman! Thanks Mom!
She has since
retired to pursue her passion for watercolor painting among other
arts.

Hi my
beading friends,
I am Jeri Bellini Bicking, recently married to Brian Bicking,
a great guy! We tied the knot in our yard, under the apple trees, in
the middle of a blizzard on Valentine's Day. It was terribly
romantic and a day I'll never forget!!
I
started MFB in a small building on Rt 309, Quakertown, PA. This
building is no longer there, it was removed so that developers could
put in the new Target. This building was, I'm told, an old chicken
coup! Well, it was a great place to start a bead shop, lots of
people saw us as they sped past on their way to work. We quickly
outgrew it however, and moved to Coopersburg, PA and we are now
peddling beads in the old Coopersburg Pharmacy. Much better lighting
and more than twice the size of the 309 shop!
